When you say ok do you mean legally or effectively?

Legally, in victoria, NO. Other states i don't know but i'd presume no.

Effectiveley, it has been done and not caused a problem, however i don't know anyone that has crashed one with a bodylift to know if there is any adverse effects on airbag operation, but in theory it shouldn't have.

Ruffy-Day - by NO to you mean it can't be done at all or just that it can't be done without engineering certification? I seem to remember reading somewhere that a max overall lift of 50mm is allowed as the norm but if you go beyond this using any means then you require an engineers certificate. Like I said I don't know the rules but I'm guessing that someone on here is going to not only know the rules but be able to provide a link to the various state by state guidelines.....such is the depth of knowledge on this forum.

The hard part is proving your airbag sensors aren't affected, and having an engineer sign it off.

Look up VMN and have a chat to Rod, he sells bodylift kits for your hilux so might be able to give you some advice.

You will also find him on the Newhilux forum
