Just did a 2 hour flight last Tuesday from
Marree.
We booked at the
Marree pub.
It was great,
well worth seeing. The colours over Lake Eyre were amazing.
Talking to another EO member a couple of days ago, it seems the price we paid was a lot higher than prices a couple of months ago, so maybe
shop around.
We flew out to the ferry and then to Lake Eyre and back more or less down the
Oodnadatta track.
Will post some pictures in a blog soon.
Dave

We use Trevor Wright from Wrightair at
William Creek. An excellent pilot who really knows the country as he has been living there or a very long time. Excellent flights over Lake Eyre and the Secret Painted Hills on Anna
Creek Station
But call and book ahead

We flew from
William Creek. It is the closest
airstrip to Lake Eyre North so least time flying to get there. Excellent pilot and great flight across the lake and to
Cooper Creek.
We flew last flight to get the best reflections:

The reflexions were stunning, but it meant we landed right on sunset, and the wind was coming from the western end of the east/west
airstrip...
