start it from cold, misses at idle and shakes or just "viabration"???
May be a hydrulic lifter or could be an injector (fuel), if fuel it will miss and shake ....
Could be "compression" on one cyl low and it gets better when it warms up ....
Done probally 250,000 plus ??? 1HZ
Could be a poor "glow plug" also and missis when cold but fine when hot .....
Really good
forum for Landcruisers is lcool.org, will answer ALL you cruiser questions
Cheers

thanks for effort! don't think it has anything to do with the motor it doesn't miss or carry on... i think mayby more of a gearbox vibration.. it has down 380 thou but still runs sweet!

Hi Hicksy
Have you checked the engine mounting blocks. A bit of wear and you could experience vibrations when it initially kicks off.
Cheers

Push the clutch in ........................ if it goes away it's not the box. If it comes and goes as you operate clucth (stationary) it's probably a noisy input shaft bearing

so guys i have tried starting it with the clutch in without giving it a stab and it doesn't do it.. wich seems like it must be something in the box vibrating when starting in neutral. if any one know's wat that could be and if it's a worry would be good... cheers
