Pretty cool show, they mentioned this site in fact. Had a cool review of a camper trailer, it looked pretty sick to me, dont know too much about them though. Awesome suspension on it. Anyhow, might be worth recording next Tuesday if you like those sorts of shows. I also like the 4wd show on channel 31, think its on Thursdays. :0

Yes agree, they look like a realy good setup but very expensive? We had a good look at them and decided to stick with the caravan and tent it when we do the rough 4X4 trips. Thanks

SImplicity is amazing, also all the features, dont look like much to them, no prices on their site so it must be a lot of cash lol Cheaper just to get an old swan or similiar for 5 grand and hope for the best!

Our17'ft Off Road Caravan is a one off build by Track Trailer, builders of the Tvan C/T.
It has same MC2 suspension (Duel) as Tvan, only fitted with adjustable air bags instead of coils. The chassis and suspension is all Track and the van body was built by Roadstar. Rides like a dream but is 3t+.

Love it !

Tracktrailer have been making the MC2 suspension for many years. I have a '97 model Desert Eagle and it has the very same suspension. It's the best thing I've ever towed.

Mark is correct. They made trailers for the military for many years before branching out into camper trailers in the 90's. A close friend here has the Eagle as well, and I agree it is indeed a great trailer!

We've had our Tvan for 12 months now, and clocked up 10,000 k's with it. It's a great unit, well worth the investment.

Cheers

I like Pat's shows..... there are others who think it's an ARB advertisement with a bit of camping thrown in, but I like his delivery! Good on him for getting the necessary sponsorship to do what he does! He is passionate about adventure travelling, and it shows!

I, for one, would LOVE to be living the dream like he does! (Hey Pat... I have a Tvan, a Patrol, and I don't mind a yarn.... perhaps we could do a series together??? LOL)

Cheers

Pats show is like an add with a few breaks for the real meaning of a travel show!!!!!

The relentless rambling on about how good cooper tyres are (most people know they are about 1/2 as good as they claim) . Even though I own a Nissan I was tired of him saying how good they are.

What's the point in watching a program if there is no honest comment on products , just scripted lines written by some spin doctor?

It would be nice to see Pat show some negative comments so the new travellers and campers do not fall in to the trap of believing advertising and buying over priced, over rated products. Cheers Butch

With all due respect for your opinion & with NO malice intended...

"What's the point in watching a program if there is no honest comment on products , just scripted lines written by some spin doctor?"

then don't watch it.

It constantly amazes me that people can have the opinion that if they don't like something, then it's no good and no-one else should like it!

There are a lot of people who like the show, and I think most people can figure for themselves that it's a paid for advertisement. He shows his travels, granted I too would like to see more scenery, but unfortunately the scenery ain't paying the bills.

Good on him, I reckon..... not to say that because I like it doesn't mean everyone else should!

;-))

Cheers

And it amazes me that people "who don't" like something are "not" allowed to freely express there own opinions without being shot down by those that do like it.........

Pat obviously learned his craft from Roothy of some WD magazine fame. I watched 10 minutes of the first show and gave it up as a bad joke.

I was almost tempted to put in a complaint to ACMA to suggest that, on top of the channel's normal commercial loads, the content of the show breached the commercial advertising limits.

Hi dedster,
Just to clarify, I didn't say they're not allowed to voice their opinion.......
there's a world of difference between saying "I don't like that TV show"... which IMHO is acceptable, to "I don't like that TV show so it must be crap and nobody should watch it"..... which IMHO is not..... and yes, that isn't quoted verbatim from Butch's post, but you should be able to see my meaning.

It was just an observation, not necessarily meant to start an argument.

In other words, if you don't like something, say you don't like it, but don't say it's crap.

HI Brian,
I'm not saying don't watch the show, it could be a good watch.

I agree with Jacks post, pay TV has enough ads. More than half of Pats show was involved in advertising.

Having travelled most of the area featured in last weeks show I don't think it did the area justice. Every time you became interested in a location it was hijacked into an ad.

I know he needs Sponsorship but look at Malcolm Douglas or The Leyland Brothers , It was obvious who their sponsors were but it wasn't rammed down your throat like Pat does, enjoy the show, cheers Butch

Hi Butch,
fair enough, I obviously misunderstood... easily done on the 'net eh?? My apologies mate.

Love Malcolm Douglas, but unfortunately have only "discovered" him since he passed away... sadly. I like his style!

Anyways, I like your comment about travelling the area's he featured, there's nothing better than actually being there, is there??

Cheers

Brian

A good show last night, with a more appropriate advertising concept this time.

It has adopted a "Top Gear" style look in some areas with the dark shading around the edge, though the jump between that feel and the next shot was somewhat stark in some cases.

The content was appropriate with some good location based testing eg tyre pressures at big red etc.

All in all, a good feel to the show with some good content.

Tvans on ebay if anyone wants a good deal, looks like a nice one.

If your into the older style camping caravanning shows, there was a beauty last week, no ads in this one, cant remember the name of the guy, Im sure all you hardcore campers would know, it was a great show. Best to check out all the new and old revisited shows on the new digital channels.
Yeh I guess it was an advertisement show, but its all eye candy for me, as the closest we go to outback is a big 4 with wife and kids, lol, one day it would be nice to do it.
