It appears there is a lot of roads closed in western NSW due to rain. Just wondering what's available for campers between
Cobar and
Hillston ?
Planing a trip for that area soon. Thanks for comments. Cheers P&J

A quick squiz at the Camps book reveals a
rest area at Gillgunya, but I imagine you could overnight just about anywhere you like along that road.....oldbaz.

There's a Pub at Mt hope, with showers and stuff, not sure exactly where youd set up
camp, but there is a big open grassless shadeless spot opposite the pub....Bet you cant wait to get there now!!!
A bit of history about the pubs Bar apparently also, worth an overnighter I reckon.
Cheers.......Browny

Browny the pub's bar sounds good, as we can't drink beer it would be a money saver.
Will check things out. Thanks & cheers P&J

Just left Hilston this morning as the harvest is on hold. Too wet. We got around 7000 ac off but still 5000 to go. Came down
the Springs road, muddy but has been graded in ther past week.
Mt hope is worth an overnighter.

If you want a dry
camp there is a
gravel pit about 3 klms. north of
Mount Hope that we have used. A bit grassed at present but still useable.
Cheers, Nev.
