Hi
I am new to this web site, we have just purchased our first camper trailer which is a POD trailer made by Stockman. Would like to hear your experience of these if anyone else has one - before we hit the road.

Mandrake on here has the Pod trailer, but not the camper. I got an idea someone else has one too.

Yep - I have one with the camper in it -
The only thing wrong is storage space - so I had a LARGE toolbox made for the drawbar and have spare tyre , 2 jerrycans , portapotty , and
camping gear in there - leaving the trailer free for food etc.. Under the lid above the tent we keep our self-inflating mattress , chairs and awning roof and walls , doormat and spare Solar Kit ....
I think theres photos in my
blogs here ....
Love it !!
Cheers
Steve

Thanks for your post, have looked at your blog and given us an idea or two as I said we are totally new to "
camping lifestyle" but we are looking forward to it and any advice is appreciated.

They look like a very nice little set up. I really like it, however I think it's a lot to pay if we wanted to get it as a camper trailer but without the tent component, because it's the sort of thing I'd probably look at if we were happy to do tent
camping in our touring tents etc and just wanted a small trailer for our gear. But then you get what you pay for, and something that's strong and light isn't going to be cheap!
Interested to hear your thoughts after the maiden voyage. Also they seem to be aimed more at the "softroader" market, what sort of car are you towing it behind?
Another similar design I liked was the BackTrax, but I'm not sure they're even sold in Aus any more, their website doesn't seem to exist any more.
Lol yes I really like the idea of small and light! But then again I really like the idea of minimalistic
camping too....fitting everything in the car, which maybe not quite realistic for us but one can dream!

We go and collect it in January - so watch this space. Asthere is only us two we think it will be adequate for our needs.
