Does anyone have any info on flights over Lake Eyre from western QLD over the Xmas break. Due to the weather all our other plans have been put on hold.

Thanks Graham, I already did that but I thought somebody may have experienced something different like maybe a private charter from a station or something along those lines.

Sorry I should add that I would rather spend my money with someone that is there for the long haul not just taking advantage of the conditions of late

+1 to WrightsAir. Based in William Ck, fly to/from Coober Pedy, Birdsville as well IIRC and do charters further afield.

My Partner and I flew out of Birdsville in August this year on an amazing flight over the channel country, Lake Eyre, Simpson Desert and Stoney Desert (think that's right).

Flew with a women, who's name I can't remember, who lives at Pandypandy Station and operates out of Birdsville. If I can find the details I will post here but the trip was fantastic!!!!!! Although quite expensive was worth every cent. Otherwise should be relatively easy to track down.

Have fun

Thanks Sharna, I will try to track her down. With the weather we are getting we might not be able to drive to Birdsville so I was tossing up the idea of chartering a plane from brissie as one of my employees is a pilot and may be able to get a plane for the trip.
