Last weeks SHP was about the FRU site just 700m from my home, ThreadID 82728 . After looking hard at the B/w photo of Ken Goodwin I decided to back over there and see If I could pinpoint the location he was standing, Ken being the CO the first and logical place to check was the CO's quarters, well I found the exact spot he was standing in, took a few photo's, and when I put them on the screen I was amazed to see a rock , the one by his left foot, it's still there after some 68 years. see in the photo I have circled it. I'm not sure about the stick....could be but would think it would have rotted years ago.

Good one Doug. There is something very special about being able to go back in time and identify a place where you can ponder on "What may have been if ...."

Cheers

Hi Doug
Great Detective work and to think that was the exact sport where he was standing when the picture was taken.

Keep up your most valued work.

Cheers

Stephen

Great 'ferreting' Doug - agreed re above - it is very interesting to find such simple artifacts intact over that length of time. Imagine the storms / dust / fire / rain that the rock may endured over that time.
