I have recently purchased a S/H Coromal Pop Top and it has never been fitted with an air condtioner. I am looking to fit a roof air conditioner myself and would appreciate any info from anyone who has done this themselves. I have a fully equipped workshop being a just retired auto electrician and feel with a bit of guidance this task would not be beyond me. I have not yet purchased the air conditioner but I am looking at an Air Commander Sparrow if any one has this unit I again would appreciate any feedback.
Cheers Jim K

You will also need to build bracing into the roof to hold it.

Aircon in vans usually has an H frame supported by the walls as air cons are quite heavy like up to 40kg.
So if you dont want it to end up on the floor best investigate one of them.

Jim,

As GH says they can be heavy and by the time the roof is re-enforced and with the unit up there you will grunt lifting the pop.
Why an air conditioner they don't work that well in a pop top anyway.
