An article in a recent newspaper suggests that Toyota will be importing FJ landcruisers to Australia, WHY??
It's basically a Prado with different panels.

Article, FJ Landcruiser

Will it lure potentional Landcruiser buyers or Prado buyers?
Have fun buying accessories for it.

G'day Shane

This topic has been discussed a bit on here (you musta missed it!), but to me, the fact that it will be petrol only, no diesel option seems very strange.

I don't think it will lure me, I was looking towards Prado~Pajero as my next move, until I heard the Isuzu MU7 is coming to OZ. I'll wait & see

Cheers, Dave

We were in the US in September-October and saw a huge number of FJ's. No doubt that because they are successful there then introduction to Oz is okay.

Don't worry, there are some other very funny looking vehicles that may well be introduced here too. We saw one such square clunker just recently here in Oz. I think they are called 'funky'.

There on the Toyota website and have been for about six months now. There 109 days away from release.

They seem quite popular in the US so I guess Toyota is bringing them to Oz to compete with the likes of the Jeep Wrangler market segment.
