Well after 3yrs on the road we settled in Tassie last october, now after 14 months it's time to move on. We have been offered a house on the mornington peninsula in Vic (long story) but to good an offer to turn down. I rang the boss and asked what that would mean for me and he said no problems we can make that work.
We have loved being in Tassie and loved the weather down here. Sometimes things just happen all together that makes it obvious this is the right thing. Kinda sucks though cause it is so expensive to move over seas lol.
Funny how life changes so quickly. The girls are excited cause they hate living in a house and this is the next adventure. Julia said wouldn't it just be easier to go travelling again.
I catch the boat over on the 5th, Maree and the girls fly over on the 7th.
So the trips not over yet, just changed the way we are doing it lol.

The weather here is great at the moment. Was watching the weather report the other night and the only
places without rain were
broome,
karratha,
hobart and
strahan. Have fun.

All the best with your move to the MP, i'm very pleased to see that some one who has travelled as you and your family have, and spent some time in Tassie has had the guts to put in writing that the weather here is great.
It's amazing how many people from the Northern Island come here for a holiday and end up settling down here.
Then there are the ones that come here for a few weeks and cop some cold stuff and go back and complain to all and sundry, but when we Tassie's go over to the Northern Island and cop weather that's worse than it ever gets here they don't believe you.
Any how i've had my rave, enjoy the MP and travel safely.
Cheers
Baz

I did my travels on a motorbike with a pair of saddle bags and a tent, work wasn't a problem as I could live cheap. But now I have a wife and child, it is a scary prospect depending on luck for the next source of income.
What sort of work do you do, that enables you this fantastic lifestyle. I know from my travels, there are wonderful opportunities for children to learn on the road.

Hi mbw650,
It's funny, when we left most people were shocked we gave up good jobs and our house to do our trip. I wouldn't swap the experience we had for anything.
I work for a company as a sales rep. It is the perfect job as it allows me to travel as I want to. I actually picked the job up while on our trip. I have work anywhere in Australia when ever I want it.
The company was happy for me to pretty much do what I wanted as I was going to
places never visited by other reps such as
Karratha, Port headland and
Broome.
Darwin, Kathrine, Alice and
Roxby downs. It suited me fine as I was planning to go to those
places but was now being paid to. We took time off in between
places to look around and worked when we needed to in the major towns.
We count ourselves very blessed to be able to have done and still do the things we love.

Hey Josh, Best wishes to you, Maree and the giirls on your next adventure. Sounds like you are still having fun and everything falling into place just perfect. Glad you are doing it while girls are still
young, when they get to my girls ages (17, 19) its too tough to get them to tag along, but at least my son (12 nearly 13) wants to, cheers Mick

Hi Mick,
How's life treating you guys. Thanks for that, it has been an amazing time and doing it with the girls has been awsome. We are hoping to do 1 more bigish trip before the girls get to old. At the moment it is not a problem getting them to go with us. In fact they would be gone tomorrow given half a chance. One good thing is we will have room at the new house so anyone wants to visit there is room to
park a van/trailer, so if you get down that way mick drop in. Have a good christmas.
Josh
