Spending two weeks in Yamba in January
Anyone know of tour operators that would offer tagalong day trips in northern NSW
or suggest some good day trips into the national parks west of Yamba/Grafton that I could investigate?

Thanks
Greg

Hi Gregori,
Don't know of any tagalong tours in the area. Here goes for a drive or two, Drive to Grafton then west along the Old Glen Innes Road, you can call into Dlamortan and have a look at the old butcher shop there, have your first morning tea or just a look at the the rlative new camping ground on the western side of the river ther, then driv further along through the road tunnel built by convictd have lunch at the old Mitchell or Man township camping area or continue up to the Gwyder highway turn right call intoboundary creek falls area and go for a walk down to the bottom of the falls , then drive a few ks east to Mulligans Hut campground at Gibralter Nat park, do a walk, then continue east call into Washpool National park continue east back down the range to Grafton.
Drive 2
Drive down to Nana Glen turn west go up through the range through to Cascade go to Platypus Flat do a few walks and swim etc. then drive through to the junction, back to Nymbodia then back to Grafton.
Drive 3
Drive to Grafton then along the highway turn Left past Ramornie war memorial into the rd to Nymodia national park spend lunch there swim, canoe then drive out the gate turn R instead of L then drive back out to the Old Glen innes rd then back to Grafton.
If you need more email me and I will give you my phone number.
The first drive you could easily spend a week doing that but it can be done in one day but a long day or just chose a part of it.
There is plenty of other drives to do if you want.

Hi Greg,
Barb's got it nailed with those short day trips.
I can't think of any Tagalongs that operate in the Clarence Valley.
Another good long drive is to head up the H/way from Grafton to Glen Innes, about 16 k's past Jackadgery, The Mann River Caravan Park turn Right at Cangai/ Hanging Rock Road, Follow this to the Junction of the Mann & The Clarence, All dirt roads and then you will come out on the Clarence Way, you can head back to Grafton through Companhurst/Junction Hill, Or cut across to the Lawrence rd, head towards Lawrence, Cross the river on the Car Ferry and head back to Maclean an then on to Yamba.

Thank you for your replies

I have since been in contact with Tourist Info at Grafton and they forwarded me some details on a company called
Seelands Safari Holidays ph: 02 66449381 based just out of Grafton

They don't appear to have a website but i will contact them this week to see what they can offer
