I am travelling to
Ballina for Christmas with the Mother In Law (MIL). We have been doing this for a long time now and occasionally we have taken a more scenic route than the highway for at least part of the trip.
I am trying to find out if we can travel along
the beach between Evans Head and Iluka in Bundjalung National
Park as a through trip.
If we can how dependant on tide is it? I mean do we have to be right on low tide, how much time do we have either side of that or can we do it at high tide?
I know someone will know so thanks for the information I anticipate getting.

if you head south out of
Woodburn (about 2 or 3 k's) you come to a road called
the Gap Rd.from turn down there and follow your nose to the end which will bring you into a national
park and finally to a beach
camping area where you can access
the beach and head south to Woody Head. very good
beach drive just check the tide b4.
check out Woody Head
camping area while you are there.
cheers.

The
beach access at Black Rock is closed indefinatly and has been for some time.
You can enter at Shark Bay/iluka end and drive to Black Rock but you must return to
Shark Bay to exit. A very nice drive and worth it as day trip. Normally plenty of beach 3hr either side of low would be my advice.

just go when it's dark mate. Nobody will see you. Just chuck the MIL in the
water at high tide.
Shark Bay sounds a good spot.
