Hi All,
a thought occurred to me whilst walking the dog this Arvo, 4 weeks ago we took my Mother in Law up to and across on the Cooper Ferry, surely at 87 years young she must be getting close to being the oldest user of the Ferry, does anyone now of any one older having used the Ferry this time round?

Jeff, you mention you took your mother-in-law "up to and and across" the Cooper Ferry.

You don't mention anything about bringing her back......

Jeff

My MIL is 87, how about you take her as well,,,,,with two 87 yr olds it would be a hard record to beat.

Oh,, and you can leave mine behind if you want,, save you fuel and food. LOL

Hi Jeff
Regardless of her age, what you did was great and I bet it will be one of help talking points for years to come.

Well Done.

Cheers

Thanks Stephen,
yep the old girl is still excited by what she saw on the trip, the Cooper Ferry was just one highlight for her, Lake Eyre, Marree, William Creek Pub, a Xmas Dinner in the Desert, Talc Alf etc were all great and yes she will be talking about it till she's 100! And there's a good chance she'll make that given both of her siblings made it into their mid to late 90's.

My mother-in-law loves painting and when we were at Wanaaring a few years ago she wandered off with her paints and easel. After a couple of hours, she hadn't returned and I started to worry.

I searched high and low for her and decided to look in the general store. "Yes mate?" drawled the bloke behind the counter. "I'm just looking for my mother-in-law" I said. His reply was a classic! "Most people come out 'ere to lose 'em..."
