Volcano cooking stoves

Hi all:

Has anybody here had any experience with the Volcano cooking stoves? I am just looking at a number of different cooking alternatives, and I came across these quite by accident. I'd be interested in your opinions, good or bad.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jack,
When at the caravan show in Caulfield, I asked Thommo, the camp oven cook demonstrater about them. I reckon they'd be great but he who must be obeyed said no! as usual with camping gear. I reckon it'd be great if the wind was up a bit too much to light a normal fire.

I agree with you as regards them being good in windy conditions. Let's see if there are any more opinions. Thanks for your quick response.

If weight and size while you're on the track are not a problem they're good but for simplicity and something that does most of what the "Volcano" does but at a quarter of the price have a look at the Camp Oven Mate, made in Oz too !
