Hi,

Has anyone been into Wonnangatta in the past couple of weeks?

Can you please advise how the track conditions are?

Hoping to drag in a dirt bike trailer.

Cheers

Paddy

Hi PaddyWack,
if you are going soon and in via Zeka you could expect
some snow. Mount Tamboritha recorded twenty-one rain days for November and I guess as many thus far in December. Could provide for some slippery driving on sections of track that are more clay than rock. Would pay to check river heights before leaving.

Paddy the Wonnangatta track in from the Mytrleford side is currently suitable to tow in smaller trailers as long as you have good tyres on the 4by. The return trip back up the hill is slippery when wet & some have had quite a bit of trouble. The river crossing into the valley will also be deeper than it normally is this time of year. Zeka spur is not suitable for towing this season.
Problem you'll have is from Wonnangatta all the rivers will be very difficult on a bike particually down the bottom end of the valley. Last weekend they were over the bonat which is very deep on a bike. I'd suggest playing where the rivers are smaller as the forecast is for more rain right into next year.
Cheers Craig...............
