Dometic rm2552r 3 way freezer door

Hi
I have a Dometic rm2552r 3 way fridge/freezer, the door broke and i have put another door on but i dont know how to work the spring loaded mechanism so that the freezer door wants to spring shut, at the moment it just wants to stay open
any help would be great

The part "C" shown in Fig 11, broke on my Dometic freezer door at one time. It cost me $50 to buy the two plastic parts from the Dometic Agent. Talk about being over charged!! Follow the instructions above and you will have no trouble.

I took the door out completely, the fridge works a lot better and still freezes

Hi Boobook,
I read that somewhere that someone had taken their freezer door off and it allowed the fridge to work better and it still froze in the freezer.
I've just replaced the seals on the door as well as the freezer door on our RM360.
I might give it a go, Cheers
