Hi, We are anticipating venturing into Sundown NP via
Ballandean over the new year period. Has anyone been recently to advise us on the current state of the track into Burrows
Waterhole.
We went this time last year and it was pretty rough, took 2 hours to do the 20km trip. It must get graded at some time you would think.
Any advice grateful.
Thanks

Haven't been in there for about twelve months also.
Don't think the track gets a lot of maintenance, and expect there would be some
water damage.
Two hours to traverse that track is about the best you can expect.
You could try contacting the
ranger.
Last contact I have is (02) 6737 5235
Don't know if that's still current.

i'd be checking that it is open before you go. about a month ago it was closed due to being to wet on the road in, and we've had more rain and expect to have more rain still since then.

oh yeah.. about 15 years ago it took that long to get in there, so good to hear nothings changed. i hope they never grade the track and leave it rough to keep numbers of visitors down, it's what i like about the place!!!!!

Thanks rumpig, yes we are trying to find out about the track but no response from the
ranger as yet. Probably give it a miss this year which is a shame as I agree the rough track makes it more attractive due to fewer campers.
Thanks
