I'm removing the cylinder head on my Terrano TD27T engine - and there is one nut on the bottom ropw of stus which is behind the turbo. I can see
the nut through the wheelarch, but I can't get a spanner or socket on it.....
Does anyone have any idea how I can undo that, to get the head off the manifold?

Managed to get the head off! Turbo stayed bolted to exhaust pipe but off the manifold (too many difficult to get at pipe connections etc).
Sadly, the head has a small crack - that's why it blew the head gasket it seems....
:(
Specialist opinions vary over the phone if the head is repairable...
So if anyone knows of a head or a TD27 engined wreck somewhere, I'd appreciate the info in the meantime!
Can someone tell me which vehicles that were officially imported into Aus ran TD27 engines - and if the TD27t (turbo) is any different from the TD27 (normally aspirated)? I mean in terms of castings and gaskets.
Cheers,
Joe
