Here I was sitting on Mt Moil on Xmas eve in
Darwin....Whoooo... now that's a date, thinking how do I load all this new map stuff into my new Garmin 1490T gps? I know, I'll ring the Guru in
Adelaide River, the old mate "Doug T" he will know. "DON'T touch anything till I get there" he yells, and one hour later he and Costa drive through my
gate. He dropped everything and drove straight up to help.. What about that? Anyway 2 klgs of prawns, half a jar of coffee and....
well..... it is Xmas, later I have a Gps full to the brim. Then he knocks back an invitation to stay the night because he has to get back to AR to feed the dogs. What a bloke.
So Doug T, you have a very merry Xmas and a happy knew year and thank you, not only for what you did today but also your contributions to EO and the "Sunday History" through out the year. I would also like to extend my best wishes to all members and non members and for the festive season.
