Well the cat 1 Cyclone brought with it 252mm of rain in 24hrs to the Tablelands. That is 675mm for the month of December and now 4937MM for the year so far.
With another 20mm sitting in the gauge now we will get over 5m of rain this year.
No wonder we can bog a duck now :-)
Looks like the low will now add to the road closures down the QLD Coast.
Who else out there is getting bucket loads of rain :-) ?
Cheers Tony

Tony,
We are now expecting another flood peak here in
Chinchilla, it peaked yesterday and there is an even bigger rise upstream today.
Light rain is falling here at the moment but only enough to make a dog stink ;)
Heavy falls are occuring upstream so lots more flood
water to come yet.
Cheers Kev

The
Warrego Highway is now cut at Charley's
Creek in
Chinchilla. It is 0.75m under
water and still rising.
The
water is up to the
post office in the main street and we are slowly evacuating those still likely to get wet in the low lying areas.
We have had 90mm of rain the area and there is also a chance
Dalby will get as wet as they did on Monday/Tuesday.
When I get a chance to get some photos I'll post them up.
Chinchilla Weir is now 1.2m under
water and still rising with a heap of
water still to come down from upstream.
Cheers Kev

Charley's
Creek is at 7.25m and the
Condamine River is listed as a Major almost all the way to
Warwick so it looks like we are going to be islated for a couple of weeks yet :)

Australia's newest island The Isle of
Chinchilla.
Water is flowing under the house at meandarra, and riseing.
Hopefully doesnt get to high, just depends on what they have up stream in Brigalow
Creek.
Even the ducks are looking for high ground.

We have a couple of farms in the
Childers area and have measured 460mm for the month so far and expecting another 100-200mm in the next couple of days depwnding on how far the low pressure comes down.
I'm currently at our nursery in San Diego where we have had 215mm (9") in the past week.
Our normal yearly rainfall here is 250mm or 10"

We had 4 headers bogged at the same time near
Hillston. Still have 170ac to take off. Taken 7 weeks so far to harvest 12,000ac. Normally over in around 10 days.

Tony,
here are the last weeks figures for Clarke range behind Mackay.
7.0 39 9.0 3.0 104 350 241 111 = 841mm for the week.
Yesterday an Army chopper dropped off a pallet of anti fungal for the ducks, they are having huge problems with foot rot. LOL
Have a dry one.
