Hi,
On whim am thinking of driving up to Lismore for New years eve. Can anyone tell me what the local sistuation is in regard to weather and water and rain.

On the weather forecast says heavy rain next three days - anyone on the ground to let me know what is happening locally?

Thanks
Sharna

Wet,Wet,Wet
I live 30 minutes east and it has not stopped for 3 days.We have recorded 198mm for 4 days. There are quite a few local roads closed and it is only going to get worse.I hope your not thinking of camping.A link to the local paper attached.(Hope it works) if not go to Northern Star Lismore.

Hi Sharna,
I'm about 100 k's south of Lismore as the crow flies and I can tell you it is as wet as a Shag, It would not take much for it to flood. And with the weather system that we have at the moment the chances of that are very high.
Give the local tourist information guys a ring.
They will be able to help you more.
Cheers

This well give you an indication of river heights and rain fall in those catchment areas.

Links not working but I gather it's a small town in Victoria.

Somehow it doesn't hold the same attraction that a big party in Lismore does... haha.

But thanks for the suggestion
