Hi everyone,
We were wondering if someone might have better knowledge than us on this problem. We purchased a new 75amph battery for our caravan on Thursday. Attached polarity correctly but can't seem to get % above 69% on regulator plugged into 240 volts. Do we have to reset regulator again. I have reread through the instruction booklet a number of times but it doesn't mention anything about resetting the regulator after changing the battery. The van is under a carport and so solar panel is in no charge mode which we can understand but we thought that after nearly 4 days of charging by 240v it would be 100%. Until our old battery died it topped up to 100% after use all the time. Any input would be grateful.
Cheers,
Sally

Oh! I don't know as it is installed into van, but battery was replaced with exactly what we had.

You might try resetting the regulator although I don't know what effect it would have.
Have you got the equipment to check the voltage at the battery terminals? If it's in float mode the voltage should be about 13.8.
Otherwise get an auto electrician to check it out.

Thanks Notso,
I checked and the voltage is 13.7
Might ring auto guy Wed when he returns from work to just check things are good.
Thanks for your help,
Sally

It looks like the reg is set for a 105/110 aH battery .. was that the size of the previous one ? 69% of 105 or 110 = 72.5 to 75.6 ..
Might need to reset or change the battery size in menu land ..
Cheers
