Yes we have some interesting people on this
Forum, another one is Doug NT, who puts a lot of time into the Sunday Photos and the info that goes with them.

Hi Murray
I am not sure what makes me such an interesting person, as I am but another bloke from the bush, nothing else. Now that I have my new GPS, I will be able to give my exact location (I have worked out how to turn it on so far), and once reasonably competent, I will be doing the back tracks here and plotting them for all travellers.
I too enjoy your comments and informed responses, as since I joined this site last year, I have learned much, and have found that people on EO are very committed to seeing this vast and beautiful land.
You and yours please have a great New Year, and keep up the fantastic posting.
Cheers

Hi Marc
Congratulationjs on your new GPS. Have you considered using it for more than just plotting of your travels. The web site www.groundspeak.com is a site that will explain all about geocaching, a fun treasure hunt with the aid of a GPS this is a world wide pastime and as we have found it has taken us to many spots that otherwise we would have never known about. Geocaching is about finding "treasure" or hiding " a treasure" for others to find. Please visit the web site to find out more ( am sure you will become addicted) lol if you wish to know more please mm.
Regards
Dave

Hi Old Dave
THis GPS is a hand held GPS MAP60SCX, not that I know what all that means yet. At the moiment I am exploring the GPS through the website instructions, maybe I should find out if there isa booklet for it.
I am plotting the back roads around where I live, as they are not on any map, but reasonable close to the CSR / Tanami
junction, out of Billiluna. By doing that hopefully I should become reasonably confident in the near future with the GPS, and then I will try to get into it more.
My apologies to Murray for going astray in his thread.
Cheers

Hi Murray
Firstly thanks for the thanks. The Cooper Ferry details started off and has snow balled from there and with all that
water in Queensland, looks like it will keep going for quite some time yet.
Like you and others have pointed out, the "ExplorOz Family" are some of the best people around and when they do reports etc, they do so not for self glory, but to share with the best web site family in Australia.
Having a web site is one thing, but the input from its members make the site what it is, The Best.
Wishing you Murray and every reader here on ExplorOz the very Best for 2011.
Regards
Stephen

I always pop back for a look. There is still a community here, sadly a little constricted, but the odd personality still shines through.
Happy New Year all.... I'm still having trouble getting over the fact that the '80s have finished.
