Firstly, I bought my Disco one month ago and a couple of days later noticed a significant oil leak. I checked the oil level and found that it was about half an inch above the "full" mark on the dipstick. I have since drained the oil to the correct level. The leak is now almost completely gone. Does anybody know if this is due to oil "blowing off" due to being over full or is there another reason?
Secondly, does anybody have contacts or an internet address for the Land Rover Owners Club in
Brisbane.

Had a Disco for years. It should be filled to the dip stick level, not the capacity stated in the handbook. You will most likely find there is not a significant variation between the two in any case. Keep an eye on it, but I expect you have solved the problem.
Land Rover Owners Club meets 7:30 on 2nd Monday of month at Lions Hall, Muriel Ave. Moorooka. 0415 524 684.

My mate's got a 94 disco tdi - he swears that the bloody thing has a part number for oil leaks. But like most landy owners he wouldn't trade it for quids.
