Hi i was planning to drive my car back from Brisbane to Darwin but it seems roads around Roma and Charleville are closed? would anyone reccomend we wait another week? is the way from brisbane-Roma-Longreach-Mt Isa ok?

i can say the roads from Curry, Isa to border are fine but south of Curry i would not think they will be ok for a week or even more ...

Road conditions

According to this site you can currently drive Brisbane to Darwin. Some places are under repair and some places have shallow water.

With our current weather you could wait a fortnight and then have roads cut by rain.

As per Alans reply above, there is major pavement damage along the Warrego highway From Withcott to Charleville.

Most is open with caution and there are load limits and speed reductions in place.

I have been trying to keep the EO road conditions updated for Southern QLD.
