Hello, I am looking for a family van and have come across the Trackvan brand, sold by Caravan World on the Sunshine Coast. If anyone has owned this brand of van, I would appreciate any feedback you may be able to provide regarding the quality of construction, reliability etc.

Hi Andy63,
I have a Lotus trackvan 3 yrs old now, never had any issues with it ,but i did have to get an Auto electrition to sort out the 12v charging system, as Lotus was a little wishy-washy i think, but all in all i have no problems & would you believe that after all this heavy rain we are having not one drop inside the van.
& i think that say's a lot
Regards

Hi Andy
We own a Trackvan TourX 24.5' Family Van which we purchased brand new from Caravan World 9 months ago.
Just finished 6 months around Australia in it. Loved it - perfect layout for the travelling family, especially doing school work, separate zones for family activities and privacy etc, kept us warm and kept us cool and the external BBQ was brilliant. The large fridge/freezer size was just sufficient for our family of 4 - so would NEVER choose a 1/2 size fridge. The oven was also essential in my eyes....you cant make pizza, roasts, cakes and nachos in a microwave.
It towed brilliantly and we had no troubles reverse
parking it into spots.
Trackvan TourX is Caravan World's "own label/stickers/badges" put on a caravan manufactured by a typical manufacturer. Ours was manufactured by Creative Caravans in Campbellfield Vic. I am not sure, but looking at Caravan World's website now I wonder if they now have Lotus making the caravans for their own label now? I would definately ask who is the manufacturer, because that will tell you 1/2 of what you want to know. The other half of what you want to know is how do Caravan World rate as a Dealer.
I found Caravan World to be absolutely great - whenever we had a problem (and like all caravans we had a couple) - our salesman Cam Boland and his boss Brad were right onto it immediately - even after office hours.
Check out my answer to Thread 80908 in regards to my early thoughts on the van, to another prospective buyer.
Other problems we had with the van related to its components (made by another company, just installed by Creative). One was the gas jet in the Swift Oven got clogged. Swift sent a repairman to our caravan
park and it was all fixed in 1/2 hour + 1 cup of tea :-) We also had trouble with the door lock a few times, and the door manufacturer spent 2 hours on the phone with us telling us which way to turn the screwdriver etc. He was great too.
Having done about 28000kms in our Trackvan, it still looks and works like brand new. So yes, I would HIGHLY recommend it and Caravan World. I did a LOT of homework before choosing our Trackvan and would choose it again in a flash.
Ours will most likely need to be sold soon (if we can find jobs soon) and I will be in tears when it rolls out the driveway.
Cheers
