Hubs on an old Nissan, very funny about the air and the tyres, he was very slow IMO in moving it and it could have been dangerous if much longer

I'm sure the average bloke has long forgotten his High School physics that water cannot be compressed.

Objects in the way either get pushed out of the way or crushed.

Definitely not meant to be a condescending statement. Some of my favourite parts of Australia are being devastated. It's an absolute tragedy.

Good luck and best wishes to all residents in those areas.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Hi Mark

If you were told that these pictures came out of Europe you would say how unlucky those poor people were....but to think it is from Queensland leaves all Australians lost for words.

The whole nation is shocked and our deepest sympathy goes out to everyone effected by these devastating floods and the already 9 lives lost. Let us all hope and pray that the 72 missing people are found safe and well.

Thanks for sharing this link.

Cheers

That extraordinary footage reminds me of Henry Lawson's 1889 ballad of "Harry Dale the Drover" and well illustrates the awful lessons learned by countryfolk over a hundred years ago when instead of cars being washed downstream they were stockmen and their dogs and horses.

Poor unfortunate Queensland.

Hi Mark G, Thanks for the clip. How devastating, unless you are there it is so hard to comprehend the magnitude of the floods over there, we can only imagine. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those effected including Carnarvon and Gasgoyne here in WA. Then we have the fire to our south which has destroyed properties, lit by a fire bug, Grrrrrr.

Cheers

Hi Guys

The floods are a national catastrophe and the worst is yet to come regarding the 59 people still missing. Very sad indeed.

On a lighter note, Misty is as cute as a button, hope you get many years of great companionship from her.
Colin.

Yes, a graphic video, but I fail to see how anyone can make a joke/punchline on other ppls misery,'' or gone under" very funny, not.

Theres a time and place, and today is not a time for jokes.

Oh yes, I've seen humour in the pubs, "water views" but thats their way of lessoning the depression, if your filming devastation, turn off the mic.,,you never hear reporters making jokes, no matter how bad the situation.

Thanks Mark,

Its shows that nature can and will do as she pleases. My brides and my thoughts go out to all in the flood areas.

I really just feel helpless and unable to do anything to help. I guess I'll donate and give what I can.

We defiantly are a land of extremes, but I still love her

Cheers Wilko and Wifey
