Just wondering if any one can tell me whether the 1998 Pajero and the 2001 Prado have the same wheel stud pattern?

if it is a six stup pattern on the prado , then I would say yes , I have fitted my mates rims off his Challanger on my cruiser and they fit ok, wich is the same rim as the Pajero , and since the Pradi rims fit on a cruiser , you have your answer lol Venus Bay

gday mate .
the only problem might be the bore size in the rim i got some pajero rims for the mighty gq and centre hole was about 2mm smallerback by popular demand

thats how i got my muddies rims and all swapped of a patrol onto cruiser no probs
late model cruisers...100s and 78s from 98model onwards did go back to five bolt pattern though.........put an end to getting stock steel 16 inch rims of dealers and bolting on to earlier models...eric a challanger with 33s......the guards must have been chockas.......was there room for wheel travel..it would look like a weapon
as to the prado/mits question will have a look tommorow and post results we got an nl in the yard and a 2000 prado im assuming the bolts didnt change 2000 to 2001

Hi All
I heard prado rims are slightly smaller in the bore for patrols and cruisers so you only need a die grinder to grind a bit out to they fit

Nobody has mentioned the offset. I drive a Pajero & would also be interested if Prado wheels do fit. If the stud patterns the same all you need to check is the offset.
an Any ideas

Paul,
Very good chance the Prado wheels will fit nicely - the offset looks to be the same. Backspacing of my Prado 16x7 90 series rims is about 118mm. I'd be interested to know what your Pajero wheels are.

Phil G ,
Just checked quickly & it looks about 118mm on the back of the rim.
Mine are also 16x7 rims (std alloys)

Its a very common backspacing also shared by Nissan and Jackaroo. The centre hole may have minor differences eg a Toyota split rim may not fit a Patrol without a little grinding.

looks like your in luck prado01 just got home from work and it indeed looks like the rims from a paj will fit your prado the studs seem to be the same distance apart
and about the same distance from the centre ...we didnt try and bolt one on......
bugger that for a saturday at work but i parked them side by side and the general opinion ( half a dozen blokes) was that they would fit
