Although we have copped 2 major floods in the past 3 weeks the Chinchilla community is still preparing for the Melon Festival.

I hear Mark G has been training and I have set aside the melons for him to use (old rotten ones ;)

For those who wish to come see here for some details.

A lot of melon crops in the region have been lost but we will acquire some from somewhere to make the 4 days a heap of fun.

Cheers Kev

Hi Kev,

Put out a call, 'Come to Chinchilla for the festival, bring own melons and some for the locals!'

Hope it's good fun and you have a good roll up, you deserve it.

Min,

We'll find Melons somewhere LOL

Will be good for the community to relax and enjoy themselves after a long Christmas/New Year of dealing with floods :)

Cheers Kev

Those who wish to attend and not camp, the Cypress Pines Caravan Park has a heap of cabins available as the bookings for the cabins have been cancelled by the contractors who work in the Gas and coal fields :)

They expect the contractors not to return for up to 3 months :(

All Motels etc are booked solid for the Melon Festival.

Cheers Kev
