Just looking at the video I can see a few problems though, mostly concerning the legality angle. Impossible to get it road registered as it is in the video and how do you run tours/rides for paying customers in an unreg and unisured vehicle?

I'm guessing that's an assumption that's it's uninsured. Unregistered only means no TAC insurance. Private insurance companies will insure unregistered vehicles. It's a simple risk assesment.

I reckon you lot should take the pill!!
Having been involved in running tours in 4wd vehicles the legalities cannot be understated. Running tours on public land in unregistered vehicles is asking for problems.
If they are being used on private land then certain regs still need to be met but insurance is still a big problem.
I doubt whether the Lancelin dunes are private land so driving unreg vehicles on them would still be illegal even without taking paying passengers
If the vehicle is built as a bus then one would expect it is used as a bus.
And yes it is an assumption on my part that it is unregistered as there is no way the vehicle as pictured could pass a twice yearly over the RTA pit inspection as a public passenger vehicle here in NSW.
Chill out the lot of you!!

Appears to be a well known and patronised tourist business from what I can see Humvee but a further quick glance at their website and elsewhere suggests you have a point. Everyone who goes on the bus must sign a waiver completely indemnifying the business from any claims whatsoever.

WA has something called an ORV registration ($6+$6, no 3rd party insurance) and I see on one shot of the vehicle that there is a rego plate on the rear.

However, I couldn't find any mention of the "many deaths and serious injuries [which] have occurred at Lancelin" on the website. Although most of these have probably related to bikes and quads (my assumption from reading elsewhere) I'm mildly surprised they haven't put something into their FAQs.

This must be their new bus. I have seen the old one getting around the sand dunes of Lancelin years ago.

Looks pretty good.
