Hi Col,
I have a 1997 1.7 TD (Isuzu) Astra with 114,000 miles on the clock over here in Scotland.
Cannot fault it.
Paid £400 for it 12 months ago.

Cheers,
Dennis

Bullet proof, heaps of torque, unbelieveable fule economy.
That engine has been around for a while now and an extremely popular choice for the Astra (badged as a Opel) in Europe. Buy with confidance.

P.S...I work for Holden and have NEVER had one in for anything more than an oil change.

Pretty sure they arent 4x4.... - get a snorkel for creek crossings as the intake is pretty low!
