Does any one know how to get this off the roof? I have the Gregory's-no entry. After a definite answer, not a guess!! I took out the one obvious screw and pulled at it to no avail. HELP
TIA

Andrew,
Open the glases case and there is two screws in the top. Undue these.

After you remove the screw, there are still four clips that hold the mirror in. Use a piece of flat steel say 50mm x 200mm and carefully place between roof and console 50mm from the front corner. Slowly lever down until the first clip pops out. Do this for the remaining 3 corners and bobs your uncle!!!

I have just installed a roof console into my GU and these instructions came with it - works well

Cheers

Thanks Guys,
I took a brave pill and pulled harder, off it came. Wish I'd been a little more patient though, cos your info might have saved me a little anxiety, Mark. I'm also fitting a console, but I didn't get the relevant info about pulling it off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get the "department of the Interior" console or another brand? The DOI console came with very good instructions and all the required hardware. While fitting it was a little tight, when finished it looks like original equipment. Have had mates ask if its a Nissan option!!!

Good luck fitting yours.

Just out of interest what sort of price did you pay for the roof console?

To both Marks,
I got a DOI console. Had to cut/glue the vinyl myself after I'd specified what radio's I had (they at least cut the holes in the wood) Can't figure that one out. Looks nice finish though. $365 w/o the storage thingo, but space for two radios. Would've preferred the standard map lights rather than that spectacle holder fitment- Has any got a pair of specs that fit in it? Reason I went for the DOI was that we're fitting one of those Tv screen things so the kids can play the PS2 while on our way to Perth and back this summer- should hold off the "are we there yet" for at least another 50 k's!!!!!

I paid $365 for the console. Not cheap, but its made very well, looks original and does not require any drilling.

Da, went and actually checked the brand I bought, its a "Outback 4WD Interior Accessories" console, the injected vinyl thingy one. Its totally plastic, hasn't got any wood and when I saw the post about the wood and vinyl it made me think what i really had.

But, still very pleased with it, even if I wasn't sure of the brand I bought!!!

Cheers
