Hi Lyle
Providing that the tracks are not marked as Four Wheel Drive only,
you can get to most places of interest any where in the Flinders and that is a fact.
Prior to owning a four wheel drive, we had travelled countless times in a standard
car.

Cheers

Likewise Stephen, for years my only form of travel was a standard family sedan. I have also been fortunate to travel some areas in the luxury of a Holden Caprice.
There's not too much you can't get to in a family car, and where you can't get to is usually only a short hike anyway.

The only thing to worry about is your tyres. Most of the places to go are tar or pretty decent gravel roads if the weather is ok. You can get a lot of punctures up there. Mike

A car will easily get you to all the main tourist attractions in the Flinders.

It depends on the weather of course. It's the Flinders Ranges that you are wanting tho Lyler.

Welcome to this site Lyler.
I agree with Bazooka.
There are the Northern and the Southern sections of the Flinders Rangers.
In the SouthernFlinders Ranges there is Wilpena pound and the drives around the surrounding areas are very scenic.
One "must do" is called The Mooralana Scenic loop , so the sun doesn't hinder the view be sure to head west in the morning or East in the evening. If it's scenery you're after all around the Southern Flinders Rangers is good. Hawker , Wilmington and Quorn. A non 4x4 with go all around there, depending on the weather and your tyres.
Spring is good for wildflowers.
Take care, safe travels .
Bye Ma.

Sorry Lyle, it started with my subtle dig at your spelling of Flinders Range(R)s.

I'd sound a warning here. Around Arkaroola some tracks marked as 2WD are still pretty rough and you need decent clearance. It's also a fair hike into there and the corrugations can be rough so be prepared to lower your tyre pressure.
