Hello,

Looking at driving the Davies Plain Track from Tom Groggin crossing south to Omeo, can anyone please advise if it is feasible to tow a 4WD trailer behind a Troopy? On the map it looks OK?

Regards Will

Hi Will

Many people tow trailers across this track (some of them shouldn't, but they do anyway lol).

The thing to look out for the weather - relatively easy tracks become much more challenging after rain.

Enjoy your trip - we'll be up that way the week before Easter.

Have done this track a couple of times over the years and will be doing it again this Wednesday, fairly easy and no worries with a trailer as there is very little mud, mostly rocky and steep.

Make sure you camp near the Davies Plain Hut as it is absolutely beautiful.

Cheers

According to Vic Parks website, Davies Plain track will not be reopening until Friday 21st January.

You might want to give the ranger a ring to find out if that has been changed, as the website info was updated on Jan 6. Things could have changed since then.
