Hoi,
Can anyone give me the specs for tuning my Nissan Patrol.
I'm looking for the ignition gap, Idle speed,distributer gap etc. Since this engine is here in Zambia not frequent, I can't find the specs here

Hi Luc,
My GQ book says:
Point Gap: 0.45-0.55mm (0.18-0.22in)
Idle speed (man or auto) 650 +/- 50 rpm
Valve clearance:
Intake 0.38mm (0.015in)
Exhaust 0.38mm
Ign timing: BTDC 10deg +/-1deg

Are these specs for all types,
mine is a 89' model with a carb.

I bought the book around 88-89, and yes, it is for the carb version, so the specs should be pretty right. I you need any special info, I can scan the pages and email them.
