Hi all,
we're thinking of acquiring a smallish trailer for storage, not a camper trailer. It needs to be high clearance and sprung with a similar wheel base to a Nissan Patrol. With a closed storage box and roof rack for the tent. Happy to buy second hand. Any ideas?

Hi Jo,

WE wanted just such a trailer and by searching online we were able to come up with a Road and Track off-road trailer to carry our extra gear. It is fibreglass so very light (about 350kg empty and can carry about 500kg of gear) It has fold up lockable covers, dustproof, good suspension. Includes gas stove, 3 way fridge, water tank, storage space and we added a battery.

We bought it on eBay and since getting it I have seen at least one other advertised on there. I know that there is at least one other member on here that has one.

If you have a look at our 2009 blogs you will see some photos of it. We towed it 25000km around WA including half of the Canning and it was very satisfactory.

Cheers,

Val

Thanks for the replies. We did a similar trip last year in SA to the 2009 blog mentioned, lots of fun.
