Cool Waters caravan Pk.
Cairns. Qld was the best park we have ever stayed at. The people there could not do enough for us, the friendliest and always so helpful. Have been staying at caravan pks. for over 30 yrs. and the people there went over and beyond the call of duty.
Cook you fresh scones, jam and cream every week. moves van for you. Was so refreshing. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou

I agree 100% I stop there when ever we are in
Cairns, Dwayne is a top bloke
his directions for backing the van in is spot on plus he has a sense of humour, do'nt forget to go to the Red Beret pub at Redlynch, free bus from the park and back+ bloody good tucker.

I agree re the Red Beret - had one of the best meals of the trip there, a few years ago now - haven't stayed at Cool Waters - stayed at Lake Placid which was lovely.

Good to hear of your good experience. I'll mark it in my RACV guide for future reference. Chris.

It is good to see it hasn't changed in 3 years, we had a pleasant experience there as
well.

Jeez you must be easily pleased. Whilst Cool Waters was nice I would not rate it as "best ever". I got no reversing help (didn't need it anyway) and had no interaction from the owners apart from them taking my money on arrival. I was only there a couple of weeks ago for 4 or 5 nights, it had everything we needed except a decent playground for the kids.....luckily
Cairns has the Esplanade
pool precinct to keep the
young ones happy. The
toilet block is clean and what I would expect but for the price tag they are very dated in my opinion.
Conway Beach tourist park on the other hand was more than I expected on this trip I have just returned from. In between Proserpine and
Airlie Beach it is a real "hidden gem" that I will most certainly look at returning to for a longer stay....with my boat next time to really get stuck into the fish and crabs.
Cheers, Trevor.
