Caravan cupboard door catches

I have a late model caravan with the very commonly used spring loaded button type catch. They don't self latch when the door is pushed closed and regardless of how careful you are with a final check the law of averages says you'll miss one sooner or later.
As I have fingers like thick sausages I find these catches are very awkward to open and close, has anyone found a reasonable substitute particularly a catch that automatically latches when the door is closed and doesn't cost a fortune, I have sixteen latches I'd like to replace.

I had to Google it up BooBoo but what an incredible shop. The catches I liked were $14.50 each x 16, mmmm, expensive little exercise.

Rob
Had the same problem as you with push button latches which occasionally would either not lock or would jam shut!! I went direct to the caravan manufacturer on
2 separate occasions at caravan shows and I spoke with the principal of Supreme
Caravans re my problem but had no success.
At a caravan show at Rosehill I discovered that Concept Caravans were fitting a double action push button lock to the cupboards in their vans
This lock was the type that is pushed right in flush when travelling but when not travelling partly protrudes. I then went to Camec and tried to purchase this type of lock but only found the standard single action type locks as fitted to my van.
I then approached Concept but was told they would not sell this type of lock separately and you had to own a Concept van to buy the locks.
I WANTED ABOUT 30 OF THEM.
This was about 12 months ago and I gave up trying after Concept refused to sell locks to me. Unfortunately I could not find out name of lock manufacturer but possibly in China?? You may like to approach Concept again or may have better success than I did attempting to locate these type of locks.
Good Luck
Gary.

I have been searching the net for a substitute and it's amazing how little choice there is.

Rang Caravans Plus and spoke with Peter the push button locks he has are only single action . These are fairly common and stocked by Camec --still havent discovered the source of the double action push button locks. Will continue the search and advise if I locate same.
