Does anyone know of a company that can manufacture a hard torneau cover that can accomodate a rear ladder rack on a Hilux dual Cab?

David,

I think most hard covers will be a problem.

I take it that the ladder rack is in the tub of your ute whic means the 4 corners is an issue?
Most hardcover cater for the front bar but not the rear, I suppose that a Roll and Lock cover would be your best bet for what you want.

Roll and Lock from Trojan

This is an American system but is available for your vehicle, there will be other stockest, (Google)

Videos on youtube Roll and lock videos

Thanks Tony, appreciate your feed back.

It's funny, surely I'm not the first person to want this........It would be quite easy to do, just replicate the front rack process, on the back rack.

I just cant find a supplier. I may need to get something fabricated specifically.

I'll check out Roll and Lock as per your recommendation.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi , I was in the same position and had a 6mm aluminium checkerplate cover bent and welded to shape of tub, hinged with Stainless Steel piano hinge to front edge, fitted gas struts for lift, mistake I made was to hinge another section to allow under rear ladder rack, I am now in the process of modifying rack, I would point out that this setup also allows a fair load to be put on it , I fitted a rooftop bag which carried a largish tent, bed stretchers, chairs and many other pieces of gear on our last trip all of it below the roof-line of ute , it also makes a great platform for photography.
