Greetings!

i am after input on where would be a good camping spot for a largish group, approx. 30 people. We'll be making a fair amount of noise (music & generator) and do not wish to disturb other people in our celebrations.

Looking forward to your responses!

Hi Doyle

The spot we usually reccomend for that activity is Luke creek off Marginal Road
not far from Kinglake.

55H 366572 5854305

Several places nearby as well but without the creek , the area is often used by groups of trail bikers and noise is not as issue - no facilities of course.

10 minutes from fuel/supplies at Glenburn - only one major problem, the cappicino machine has been broken for last 10 days.

Kendles A or B at Rubicon, we do a 25 - 30 boys fishing trip each year, lots of interesting old hydro power stations, trestle bridges and saw mills. 1 1/2 hours from Melbourne.

Hi Doyle one my favourite camping spots is Mt Dissappointment campsite 1, plenty of open space, to be noisy without bothering anyone, things to do, Bushwalk, visit Strathcreek falls, about 3 1/2 klm from campsite, sit around open fire and tell stories, relax with a beverage, is about 60 North of Melbourne on hume highway. cheers Merv
