We are currently travelling around Australia with 2 kids and have made it to
Darwin and decided to sit out the wet season before taking off again towards WA. We are thinking about the option of
house sitting whilst we are here instead of staying at a rather empty caravan park. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to find people that are looking for?

Google Australian housesitting & then register as a sitter.

Hi guys, sounds like you are doing a trip similar to us. By the way, are you staying at Howard Springs. We looked after a house a christmas time it was on 5 acres. There is a lot to look after in the wet the grass grows while you look at it. You could still try to advertise for
house sitting but most of the time everyone is looking at getting away from the wet and have housesitters, on the other hand enjoy the time the park is empty as the crowds are not to far away. We have enrolled our boy in at prep school and he does karate and swimming lessons and loves to get out as helps break the bordoem from being in the park.
cheers Troy
