Yep i totally agree, the MTZ's wont last too long doing the High Country at the pressure...

Around 25psi is good for that type of driving...Easier on the drive (bumpiness) in and out too..

Your having fun and thats great,Next time try King Spur to Mayfords its great..

just looked at your river crossing photos. Any water damage to the car? That looks seriously scary!

Trying to organise a round trip early February from Sydney, SAT/SUN leaving 4am SAT.
Love the country down there, easily could get lost there....but the kids still need me...?!

Hiya mate the engine stayed on all the time, about 40-mins to hour,Water entered the transfer case through the cabin (i already had diff breathers and transfer breather in place)...Water also entered the headlights,Most days were 30 odd so things dried very quickly over next couple days.....If i had the Kaymar Rear bar back then the rear of the vehicle wouldn't have floated on me...lol,It had flooded the river a few weeks earlier....Have done at least another 200 plus rivers, some full, some low etc etc without issues touch wood..

You live and learn lol...One important lesson i learned is to have my Warn Winch controller plugged in and ready to use and not tied to the shackle under the front of the vehicle and my ARB Recovery bag accessible for very quick access...Also a rear Hitch and shackle in place.....

A Sea Sack is ready for my Icom Handhelds,GPS,Laptop,Camera...etc etc...

The more you do the more you learn of course...

Goodluck.

G'day Joe

I reckon you should work in movie production, particularliy comedy or farce..... not being a smartass there, just loved the bit when your youngster got phone reception, I can relate to that so much!!

Great pics, beautiful country we have. All you need is a Jackaroo .. lol

Cheers, Dave

P.S. Interesting music selection
