If any one has google earth and would like to see what is headed to Qld, in the LH colomn of google earth turn on, that is to say put a tick in the weather option , and have a look at TC Yasi. What a big mother. May have to make sure ma hat is pulled down tight.
If the shortcut below works it will give you a satellite image.

As one coconut tree said to the other coconut tree. " Hold onto your nuts. This is going to be no ordinary blow job"

Mondays predictions seems to indicate it will run virtually east to west & may end up in the gulf (it may intensify if it does).....eventually it will drop back to a low & move towards central Australia...
The only way to avoid it will be to go south, but not to far as it will loop back across central Australia & the Easterly across lower NSW as a low pressure system & then back out to sea...
Best to watch this one on tele I think rather than a ring-side
seat!

It's not just an ordinary cyclone, it's a super one. Such kind of calamity is really horrifying. Australia was brought to its knees as Cyclone Yasi smashed into Queensland, the northeast territory of Australia. Just after Queensland experienced a number of the most detrimental floods on record there; the
Category 5 storm smashed to the coast with wind speeds upwards of 200
miles an hour. Cyclone Yasi is approximated to have caused $2 billion at minimum.
