What size?, hat brand?, How acurate is the fuel gauge and does all the rated litre transfer OK?

Thanks

80l rated, 75l transfers. 4wd systems tank. Fuel gauge is accurate in the sense that once the level drops to a point where the float can start to go down the gauge goes down, or in other words shows empty when it is empty but shows full until it is about half empty.

Hi Dave,
I have fitted a "Long Ranger" tank fitted to my patrol, now carry 149lts.
Gauge shows full until it reaches the old full mark about at about 95lts. then reads normal from there.
Hope this helps Kev

Fitted a Brown Davis. All up I carry approx 175 L. The Guage works the same as the previous reply. i was a little disappointed to find that the original guard does not fit. The response was that the tank is quite thick and there has never been a problem. I have lost a little clearance but have extended my range to about 1300 km. Sometimes I wonder if I should completely fill my tank as I only fill up about once a month if I am not on a trip. Also have you considered the extra weight? What mileage are you getting from your GU?

Dave, I have 2 LRT's on my GU. The Aux tank is made by Long Ranger and carries 89 litres, 79 of which are useable. Altogether I'm carrying 215 litres and am burning about 13 litres/110. Hope this is of some use.
