About this time a couple of years ago Michael of Moss Vale fame posted about a beaut Fly Trap that he had.

Well I finally retired one of them as it had been used and abused for about 4 years. I now have 2 new ones at work in the backyard and have a 3rd new one to be packed into the Camper for when we go on trips.

The attractant smells pretty badly so if camping make sure you set it up away from your campsite and next to the noisy neighbours hehehe

Details of the Fly Trap from the previous thread

Does anyone else have an alternate method to one of these or Scrubby's method??

Cheers Kev

Canetoads thrive on these fly Traps as they make it easier to catch a feed ;)

Hi Sir Kev,

We have 2 out the back and I have not found anything that works better,
Depending on the weather they fill very fast.....but yes the crap does smell.

Cheers

We used some of the sticky strips you hang up. We hung them in the annexe of the camper to get the buds/flies attracted to the light. Worked well, just a bugger when I hung it a bit low and touched it with my head.

No matter what else I have tried, nothing seems to attract the flies as much as I do. I am available for rent. Have I breached the "no advertising" rules?

I use a couple of them in my back yard to keep the flies under control and they work a treat. As the baits are pretty expensive, well so i recon, I use half a pilchard as bait and it works a trat. Have to empty them fairly often though.
