We have a Coleman queen size and find it very good and it doesn't go flat after 1 night...might have to top-up air every second/third day. It also comes with a mattress protector that can zip off for washing.

choosing a mattress is a bit like choosing a partner to share it with. What suits me might not necessarily suit you! And when you choose a partner hopefuly you get more than a five-minute trial in the camping shop.

I have thermarests which have the reputation (and the price to match) and I am not too proud to admit that I am not sure that they were a good buy. Just an OK rating from me, others swear by them. They sure keep you warm so maybe I should have bought a thicker model, but then packed size becomes an issue.
