I am having a few problems with my Garmin Nuvi 760.
I had the maps upgraded three days ago to the latest 2011 variety.
Initially the unit was running very slow, I would be through an
intersection by about 30 -40 mtrs before it registered on the screen, so I took it back anfdthe dealer upgrade the software for me FOC as I had not upgraded anything on the unit since I bought it back in 2008.
Same problem, unit runs slow, and now it seems to be having trouble displaying street names, it will work OK for about 5 mins, then all street info disappears for about 10 mins, then it comes back again.
The dealer seems to think the unit is faulty and needs to go back to Garmin, I find it a bit strange that it worked perfectly until the upgrade, I am rather loath to send it back to Garmin, I will probably never see the unit again, any thoughts as to a probable cause to this fault.?
