I think it is to do with someone on their own stalling in the tunnel, and of course you can't open your doors and no phone reception.
It seems a bit of overkill, what about getting the local
ranger to
check the tunnel, or a video camera. It was a great tourist attraction.
Luckily I drove it on a previous trip, the mirrors had to be folded in, it was tight but good fun.
