abs

on my 03 hilux td the abs light has come on; took too mechanic too check with a scanner but it would not recognise the vehicle ;the brake lights work ok; any ideas whats wrong and how too fix the problem thanks barry

Could be a wheel sensor there would be 4 of them. Or damaged wiring to the wheel sensors.

wouldn,t the smart thing to do would be take it to someone who has a scann tool

got the abs fixed today was a broken wire in the loom near the back wheel ;lucky it was not the sender unit 275 dollars from toyota ;thanks for all replies barry
